Teaching & Learning Through Reciprocity
Teaching and learning happens in spaces beyond academic walls. We learn from the waters, the lands, our communities, and other-than-human beings. To us, it is this broad network of relations that collectively holds knowledge. In this network, we are never teacher or student, always teacher and student, simultaneously the giver and receiver of knowledge.
Many of our teaching-learning initiatives focus on bridging academic and community-held wisdoms. So we enter into communities, not as experts, but as people hoping to create the spaces needed for this entire network of relations to learn from one another.
